Where You’ll Add Value
The Coordinator, Community and Retail Services is accountable to the Marketing Manager for supporting the effective execution of community relations and programs, including not for profit activations,donations, guest queries, gift card sales and overall guest experience, at Coquitlam Centre in a manner that reflects both the shopping centre’s image and the organizational goals and objectives.
How You’ll Make a Difference
1. Community Activations and Donations
With the support of the Marketing Manager, executes the centre’s activation and community programs. Responds to inquiries, liaises with community groups, prepares documentation, conducts yearly reports. Oversees set up of activations as required.
2. Digital Content Management
Acts as the single point of contact for content management requests for the shopping centre’s website, tenant portal, and digital communication tools. Manages timely content updates using established content management platforms, process and protocols.
3. Communications
Drafts communications to effectively share the shopping centre’s plans, upcoming events, and opportunities to tenants.
4. Special Programs
Assists with centre-wide promotions, marketing programs, events and contests as required. Oversees, with the support of Marketing Manager, special projects and/or other on-going programs specific to the centre i.e. Children’s play area, walking club, holiday community initiatives, etc. Oversees the centre’s Lost & Found program.
5. Brand Identity and Image
Daily walk-throughs of the shopping centre to ensure that signage and other brand elements meet the centre’s strict aesthetic guidelines.
6. Community Relations
Responds to and facilitates requests for assistance and information from the general public, community groups, and tenants in person, over the phone, by email, and via texting platform in a proactive manner resulting in the compliance to the organization’s customer service level agreement. Addresses customer and tenant concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner; provides status reports to centre management on key issues.
7. Gift Card Program
Processes gift card transactions, reconciles credit and debit transactions to ensure accuracy and safeguarding of company assets. Conducts monthly reporting and inventory control. Restocks and arranges for repair of equipment as required to ensure that the online Gift Card and Vending Machine programs are effective, financially sound and adds values for tenants and guests. Oversees, with the support of the Marketing Manager, gift card promotions.
Any other job related duties and/or projects that may be assigned.
The Expertise You’ll Bring
Qualifications Required
High-school diploma or equivalent. Post-Secondary diploma in Communication, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the real estate industry or retail shopping centres.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Experience with basic photo editing programs would be considered an asset.
Experience capturing content for social media would be considered an asset.
Experience with website content management programs would be considered an asset.
