Where You’ll Add Value
The Cooridinator, Claims is accountable to the Senior Manager, Claims for timely and accurate administration of insurance claims to ensure that company’s insurance related risks are identified effectively and proactively during the claims process and brought to the attention of the Risk Management group.
How You’ll Make a Difference
1. Documentation & Knowledge Management
Creates spreadsheets, pivot tables, and metrics reports; sets-up and maintains systems for specific reporting and knowledge (such as filing of electronic Environmental & Claims reports/documentation, US & Canadian monthly trending reporting); may be required to update web-sites and other virtual portals; performs data search in open or exclusive sources, coordinates directly with property managers/Security to provide leases, contracts and surveillance footage.
2. Data & Platform Maintenance
Performs various data input activities with the use of company’s systems, platforms and software specific to the function to ensure that data integrity is maintained and company’s policies and procedures for such activities are adhered to (e.g. lease documentation, insurance certificates, insurance policy info, contacts & property info, claim details); Populating policy information on all incidents reports.
3. Environmental Claims Administration
Performs, coding and de-committing of invoices, prepares Purchase Orders, Contracts, Payment Vouchers, Payment packages and liaises with Accounts Payables, where required, to ensure that payments are entered in the system in accordance with the company’s guidelines and processed timely to avoid financial penalties; may manage and reconcile impress account(s); verifies documentation packages to be processed by accounts payable on all Environmental financial matters. Updates and tracks Environmental financial to our claims system. To provides assistance with annual Environmental accruals.
4. Financial
Prepares Claims cheque memo’s, assist with sending invoices and requesting reimbursement from insurer on Environmental Claim payments. Tracking financials of all environmental claims over the self insured retention. Tracking of all Environmental PO’s & invoices on master file. Email invoices to US/third party for payment. Tracks and sends reimbursement cheques to proper contact.
5. Insurance Claims Administration
Review, and code for processing all claim payments on a timely basis and ensure that all payments are accurately entered into the claims system. Triage incoming incident reports for submission. Tracks financial settlement of claims both below and above established deductibles, and assist with the 1228 account reconciliation on quarterly basis.

The Expertise You’ll Bring

Intermediate to advanced practical knowledge of MS Office Applications
Solid knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
