The Regional Administrator will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and will be responsible for managing the office administration functions for an assigned region.
How You’ll Make a Difference
1. Customer Service
Ensure a superior level of co-operation, service and support is provided to residents, thereby ensuring that Morguard is a landlord of choice
Maintain good resident-landlord relations
Provide direct escalation support for site teams regarding resident correspondence.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation and resolution of resident concerns.
2. Office Administration
Will be required to know basic coordination of office administration including ordering office supplies, organizing and maintaining filing system, email, phone calls and walk-in visitors
Provide information to residents and ensures all resident concerns are acted upon in a timely manner
Draft collection notices
Monitor petty cash expenditures
Ensure terms of the lease agreements are met and administers damages/security deposits and charges
Provide Building Managers with lists of leases coming up for renewal
Assists the Regional Manager with any pending projects and assignments
Attend hearings or is involved in hearings including creating files, preparing evidence and gathering back-up materials
Process Capital Quotes, prepare Purchase Orders and include in tracking sheet
Assist in the implementation of new software and automation tools (e.g., mail merge, Rhenti support).
Oversee and coordinate content updates for the region.
Handle regional-level reporting, including insurance, accounts receivable (AR), VOR, lease renewals, and expiries.
Coordinate outbound communications, issue demand letters, and liaise with collections agencies.
Maintain accurate documentation for potential legal escalation.
3. Accounting
Assist Payscan process, where needed
Review rental applications, lease agreements or change in status forms to ensure they are complete and accurate and submit to lease administration at head office for entry
Facilitate review of rent rolls and aged accounts receivables as required by head office
Process correspondence as required under local housing laws and regulations (i.e. N4's, L1's, Releve 4, etc.)
4. Leadership & Management:
Provide training to new Team Members on systems and processes and procedures
The Expertise You’ll Bring
Degree/diploma and/or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
2-3 years of administrative experience, preferable in a busy office
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Experience in a customer service role would be an asset
Exposure to the Property Management Industry would an asset
Ability to speak other languages is considered an asset
