Where You’ll Add Value
The Clerk, Payroll is accountable to the Manager, Payroll for supporting the consistent, timely and accurate processing of payroll for all Morguard Corporate and subsidiary entities in accordance with established procedures and legislative requirements.
How You’ll Make a Difference
1. Payroll Paperwork
Receives and reviews, for completeness and accuracy, all payroll related paperwork, following up with management and employees to ensure that payroll/staffing paperwork is completed correctly, in order to maintain consistently high levels of accuracy of payroll processing.
2. Periodic Payroll Processing
Inputs, processes, and reconciles all payroll changes in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), on a semi-monthly payroll cycle, in accordance with established payroll policies and procedures to ensure that employee records are accurate and up to date and that all pay for all
3. Timesheet Processing
Verifies and inputs into the system timesheets for all hourly and salaried employees, on a semi-monthly payroll cycle, in order to ensure all employee’s pay, for all Morguard entities, is processed in an accurate and timely manner.
4. Payroll Communications
Drafts and distributes communications and various reporting, incl. statutory forms, regarding payroll requirements, status/pay related changes and general and payroll information to ensure that payroll/staffing paperwork is processed, submitted and distributed on time to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.
5. Payroll Records
Organizes, distributes, files and archives all payroll related paperwork in order to maintain accurate records for all staff and payroll activities; deposits payroll related funds and payments to the company’s bank account and processes accompanying paperwork, as required; may be required to carry out partial clerical duties for HR Administrative Assistant.
6. Payroll Customer Services
Responds to payroll related inquires in a timely and professional manner that models high standards of customer service provided to the organization.

The Expertise You’ll Bring
College diploma in a related field (e.g. Payroll Administration or Human Resources Administration) or equivalent
Experience with ADP WFN is an asset
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and comfort working with reconciliation reports and statements

Annualized Base Salary Range: $45,000-$55,000 CAD.

The salary range listed for this position reflects the anticipated compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation offered may vary and will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, skills, certifications, internal pay equity and business needs.
