Where You’ll Add Value
The Coordinator, Risk Management and Insurance is accountable to the Director, Risk Management and Insurance for providing the day-to-day administrative support to the Risk Management and Claims Administration departments to facilitate compliance with applicable risk management related government regulations as well as company’s policies and procedures.
How You’ll Make a Difference
1. Property Insurance
Monitors and maintains both comprehensive hard copy and electronic filing system of existing Certificates of Insurance, prepares annual renewal premium allocations for existing insured parties, proactively assist in issuance and management of all Insured’s policy documentation, maintains a database of all insured properties and assets, assists in collection of annual underwriting information for insurance submissions to ensure that appropriate coverage is carried at all times for all assets to mitigate insurance associated risks.
2. Risk Management Reporting
Compiles regular risk management reporting and prepares special and ad-hoc reports, as required; prepares company’s annual Property Insurance Values report to facilitate risk and cost analysis and to assist with business decision-making.
3. Risk Inspections
Coordinates site risk inspections and the review of operating procedures by consultants and third party engineers for compliance to organizational policies as well as provincial and federal risk related regulations.
4. Risk Management Analytics
Prepares correspondence, reporting, statistical data and guidelines related to risk management programs to assist with compliance to organizational policies and provincial and federal risk related laws and regulations.
5. Risk Management Services
Serves as the first point of contact for all incoming risk management related inquiries and coordinates with other risk management representatives for solutions to inquiries of medium to high complexity.
6. General Administrative Duties
Performs general administrative duties for the Risk Management and Claims Administration departments, as required.
Any other job related duties and/or projects that may be assigned.
The Expertise You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g. Risk Management, Business Administration, etc.) or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of multi-line commercial property insurance experience
Demonstrated knowledge of principles, methods, procedures, trends and concepts of risk management
Demonstrated knowledge of procedures and techniques for coordinating risk management and loss prevention programs
Demonstrated knowledge of provincial Occupational Health & Safety Acts and Regulations and WSIB legislation
Advanced working knowledge of MS Office applications esp. Access, Excel and Word.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Canadian Risk Management (CRM) Designation or enrolment in the program is an asset
Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) Designation or enrolment in the program is an asset
General accounting experience is an asset.

Annualized Base Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000 CAD.
